Lyon Urban Truck&Bus is one of the 11 centers concerned with transport, which have been accredited by the CIADT (Comité Interministériel pour l’Aménagement du territoire) .

On July 12 2005, the Centre of Excellence label was granted to Lyon Urban Truck&Bus 2015, founded by Renault Trucks, Irisbus France, l’Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP), l’Institut National pour la Recherche dans les Transports et leur Sécurité (INRETS), le Grand Lyon and the CCIL.

The 11 clusters dealing with land conveyance are :
Aerospace Valley, Automobile Haut de Gamme, Industries Agro Ressources, i-trans, Logistique Seine Normandie, Lyon Urban Truck&Bus, Mobilité et Transports Avancés, MOV'EO, system@tic paris region, Véhicule du Futur, Ville Mobilité Durable.

The ambition of "Lyon Urban Truck&Bus 2015" is to take up the challenges raised by the growth in the need for mobility of persons and goods in urban environments.
