Created in 2005, Lyon Urban Truck & Bus 2014 (LUTB) is the only competitiveness cluster in Europe focusing on the efficiency of mass transport systems for passengers and goods in urban areas.
Our ambition: become the European and global reference, from research to implementation of mass transport systems for passengers and goods in an urban environment.
Our objective: meet the challenges of an increasing need for mobility by passengers and goods through environmental, societal and economic solutions that are balanced, innovative, demonstrated and field-tested.
Technological and socio-organisational innovation is what drives us Energy, materials, communication and information technologies, economic and social sciences are all areas of research and experimentation carried out by the key cluster players for more economical, safer and cleaner urban transport.
Our missions :
Call on all existing skills in Rhône-Alpes in the field of transport and attract new ones (manufacturers – SME groups, Start Up – research and training bodies, end users, public authorities)
Develop strong links of cross learning and pooling
Run and encourage the emergence of joint R&D projects
Rubber stamp the projects, guide their financing and monitor their progress
Set in motion innovative approaches aimed at territorial development (Institute of Transport, city delivery demonstrators, pooled test centre, etc.).
Expand communication to confirm the positioning of the cluster at local, national and international scale
